MOSI launches city’s bright new club

Visitors will be able to join the new MOSI club, which offers a variety of exhibition previews, behind the scenes tours and discounts at Manchester’s favourite Museum. MOSI has a loyal following in Greater Manchester, with nearly half of customers visiting more than once.

The membership scheme aims to provide benefits to regular visitors, and encourage people to support the Museum’s future plans. In 2007-8 MOSI attracted over 800,000 visitors.

Tony Hill, Acting Director of MOSI said:

“Our research shows that visitors return again and again to MOSI so we wanted to be able to reward this loyalty with a range of benefits to our regular visitors. The Museum plans to develop into a world class attraction, so it is a great chance to join us as we grow.”

Adults and child underground

MOSI includes a wide range of galleries which tell the stories of the North West’s role in the industrial revolution, transport and science. Last year it unveiled plans for ‘Revolution MOSI’, which would create a Museum Quarter for 21st Century Manchester, including new and restored galleries as part of a larger MOSI complex in Castlefield.

The MOSI membership scheme costs £25 for 1 adult, £40 for 2 adults, £10 for a child (up to 18 years) or £50 for a family of 4.
