Are you responsible for training student teachers or providing INSET in school?

Have you considered visiting the Museum for ITT and INSET?

Our education team can provide sessions for colleges and schools tailored to meet the needs of prospective and serving primary teachers. We can run sessions for your students or staff consisting of the following:

• an overview of the Museum's historic site and galleries
• the work of our education service
• information about our programme for primary schools
• learning science at the Museum
• tours of galleries or classrooms
• advice on using the Museum with school groups

Options range from lecture-style presentations for large groups of students on a specific topic through to one-day inset sessions for the staff of a whole school on a variety of topics.

We can normally offer short presentations free but charges apply to tours and longer (i.e. half-day or whole day) sessions. Contact us for more information on charges.

Our Conference team can also arrange catering for groups. Typical charges are approximately £2.50 per person for tea/coffee and approximately £7.00 per person for lunch. (Drinks, snacks and meals are also available from our Restaurant.)
