Roman Tours have considerable knowledge and are able to adapt tours to meet the needs of schools, groups, families and tourists from all over the world.

What makes Roman Tours unique?

Roman Tours provide some of the only soldiers in Britain who work all year round, in all weathers in authentic uniform. This allows them to pass on to you their unique insight into the life and hardships of the soldiers serving in the British climate nearly 2000 years ago.

Roman Tours are constantly updating their presentations as archaeologists uncover new evidence for Roman life.  Trying out and testing different types of clothing and equipment found during excavations, such as the socks and underpants requested by one soldier from his Mum to combat the winter weather while serving on Hadrian’s Wall.

Roman Tours pride themselves on their historical accuracy and strive to make their presentations relevant and fun.

Roman Tours are available at Castlefield exclusively through the Museum of Science and Industry.
