Fabrics
Cloth of gold with silver thread
Is the cover of my bed.
Soft wool carpet from the loom
Will enhance my sitting room.
Linen for the Breakfast table
Keep it starched if you are able.
Fresh crisp cotton for the summer
On the beach I’ll look a stunner.
If I have velvet when it’s chilly
I don’t think that I’ll look silly.
I’ve comfy slippers made of felt
Use plaited raffia for a belt.
Leather shoes and Nylon hose
Will protect me when it snows.
Add a coat with sable muff
Surely that should be enough.
From far and wide, from East and West
Comes the cloth I like the best.
